Through ministerial directives to work on the national afforestation plan and under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Durgham Sabih Karim, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Chairman of the Million Trees Committee, Dr. Ahmed Malek Jumaa.
The committee began its work in preparing and setting up the greenhouse and agricultural bags and included planting approximately 5,000 cuttings and pens of fig, tiki, grape, bougainvillea, oleander, and others, which may contribute to the afforestation campaigns of university colleges, government departments, and schools in Maysan Governorate, with the support of the functional staff in our college of agricultural engineers and students.
