The College of Agriculture at the University of Misan organized a scientific symposium about using of insect pheromones in the integrated management of agricultural pests. The symposium included a lecture given by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Harfash… in which he presented an introduction to insect pheromones and the most important areas of their use. The symposium aims to introduce those working in agricultural pest control to the importance of using insect pheromones to reduce the use of chemical pesticides and their residues in human food. The symposium recommended emphasizing keeping pace with developments in the field of integrated agricultural pest management and emphasizing the use of insect pheromones to reduce the use of chemical pesticides to protect the environment from pollution.
