Harnessing all the scientific and research capabilities in their theoretical and applied aspects in order to face the challenges facing the agricultural sector by working on preparing and graduating qualified agricultural engineers capable of solving the problems related to plant protection and combating various agricultural pests in order to improve the agricultural sector and raise the quality of agricultural crops in quantity and quality. In supporting the general economy of the Iraqi state.
Vision of Plant Protection Department
Upgrading the scientific level of students through the development of educational curricula and activating the practical side of the application and strive to introduce the latest agricultural equipment and techniques in the field of plant protection in addition to the expansion of the section towards the opening of graduate studies and the development of teaching staff to achieve the overall quality that contribute to raising the sequence of the department and college in the international rankings
Objectives of the Plant Protection Department
- Prepare agricultural engineers capable of contributing to the investment of their scientific energies in solving agricultural problems, especially those related to plant protection and thus the ability to compete with the labor market.
- Work to develop the teaching staff in the department by sending them in developmental courses in the world universities sober.
- Harnessing the physical, human and scientific potential of the department in the service of society.
- Expansion of buildings, halls and laboratories with specifications that adhere to quality standards and academic accreditation.
- Develop and update the curriculum of the department.
- Cooperate and coordinate with the relevant government departments in order to invest the results of scientific research for teachers and students in order to solve the problems facing the agricultural sector.
- Raise the sequence of the department and the college within the international classifications by encouraging and activating the publication in the international containers and adhering to the standards of quality and academic accreditation.
