university of Misan Organizes a Seminar on
Hydroponics Technology The Faculty of Agriculture
at the University of Misan organized a panel discussion on hydroponics
technology with the participation of teaching the faculty. The seminar included a lecture given by Salah Abdul
Hassan Ghailan, where he presented many definitions of hydroponics and a
historical overview of its beginning and stages of development. The seminar dealt with the types of systems applied in
aquaculture and comparing production between aquaculture and agriculture in
soil. It also addressed the most important characteristics and disadvantages of
production in this type of modern systems.
The seminar concluded that such techniques should
be introduced into agricultural production and away from traditional methods in
order to avoid problems faced by farmers and agricultural producers
