The University of Misan Organizes a Workshop on “The Possibility of Using Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) in Afforestation and Forestry Projects in Iraq” The college of Agriculture / Misan University organized a workshop entitled “The Possibility of Using Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) in Agriculture and Forestry in Iraq” as part of its continuing education activities in December. The college of the Plant Protection Department Karar Akram Kamel) Development Mechanisms CDM as one of the three mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol adopted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It is noteworthy that Iraq formally organized this protocol in 2009. The workshop also discussed how to use CDM mechanisms in forestry and forestry projects, combating desertification in Iraq, L in the global carbon markets. The workshop concluded with the interventions of the attending professors and discuss the main obstacles that may face such projects in Iraq.
