Second: Living Guide (Costs, Housing, Visas) Tuition Fees:
Non-Iraqi students accepted into public colleges, universities, and institutes through the general admission channels at public universities are considered exempt from paying tuition fees and annual registration fees in foreign currency. They are treated equally to Iraqi students, according to the following:
1. Non-Iraqi resident students seeking admission to public Iraqi colleges, universities, and institutes are subject to the same admission procedures as Iraqi students.
2. Upon the announcement of the results of the central admissions or the issuance of admission orders through any of the general government admission channels, the university must provide the Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up (Central Admissions Department/Expatriates Division) with a list of accepted non-Iraqi students, along with their priorities, for consideration of the possibility of exemption from tuition fees and annual registration fees in foreign currency. Acceptance is not final until the applicant has met the requirements and their exemption status has been verified.
First: Free Scholarships: These are free of charge and include tuition fees and housing.
Second: Half-Free Scholarships: These are half the tuition fees set for private expenses for all academic levels, according to the certificates required for study at government universities, colleges, and private universities. They are paid annually in Iraqi dinars or their equivalent in US dollars, as shown in the tables below for undergraduate studies (government universities, colleges, and private universities) and graduate studies (government universities only).
Third: Private Expenses :-
Tuition fees are self-funded and for all academic levels, based on the required certificates for study at government universities, colleges, and private universities. They are paid annually in Iraqi dinars or their equivalent in US dollars, as shown in the tables below for undergraduate studies (government universities, colleges, and private universities) and graduate studies (government universities only).
Visa and Residency:
1. A (regular) entry visa to Iraq for the student is obtained for a period of one year through the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, in coordination between the university or private college at which the student is accepted and the Ministry of Interior. The visa is renewed annually.
2. After the student obtains an entry visa, a notification of the visa grant is sent by the Ministry of Interior to all border crossings and airports for processing and receipt of the regular entry visa.
The student is required to contact the university or private college to which he or she has been accepted before purchasing travel tickets for approval of the visa to Iraq. This approval is obtained after the Ministry of Interior issues a notification, designates the airline, and confirms the issuance of the visa at the airports and border crossings.
Students accepted into the program are exempt from entry visa fees to Iraq.
