First: Admission requirements and scholarships
Available Study Channels for Students (Morning Study):
Free Scholarships: A scholarship that covers tuition fees and housing.
Semi-Free Scholarships: A scholarship that covers half of the tuition fees.
Private Expenses: A scholarship with tuition fees specified in Iraqi dinars and paid annually for all academic levels.
General Admission Requirements for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies
1. The student must be a foreigner or an Arab citizen with non-Iraqi parents, i.e., of exclusively foreign or Arab origins.
2. Neither the student nor their parents must be of Iraqi origin and have obtained a non-Iraqi nationality.
3. The student must have a non-Iraqi preparatory school certificate, whether Arab or foreign.
4. The student must not have previously obtained a seat at an Iraqi public university or private college or university, according to the approved admission channels.
5. The student must not have applied to any of the private or public admission channels at public universities or private colleges and universities.
6. Students who have obtained a study seat within the Study in Iraq program are not eligible for employment privileges in Iraqi ministries or any other non-educational privileges.
Admission requirements for the Free Scholarship Channel:
First: For undergraduate studies (diploma, bachelor’s):
The student must meet the minimum admission requirements for the university and college they wish to study at to obtain a bachelor’s degree, according to the choices listed in the application form and in order of preference, as follows:
Medical group (general medicine with a grade of 85%), dentistry and pharmacy with a grade of 75%).
– Engineering and nursing majors with a grade of 65%.
– Other scientific and humanities majors with a grade of 60%.
– Students are exempt from the grade requirement for obtaining a technical or vocational diploma.
– The applicant must not be older than 30 years.
Second: For graduate studies (higher diploma, master’s, doctorate):
– The student must meet the minimum admission requirements, as follows:
– To obtain a master’s or higher diploma: 65%
– To obtain a doctorate: 75%
– The applicant must not be older than 40 years One year to obtain a master’s degree or equivalent, and no more than 45 years to obtain a doctorate degree.
B. Admission requirements for semi-free scholarships:
First – For undergraduate studies (diploma, bachelor’s):
– The student must meet the minimum admission requirements for the university and college in which he/she wishes to study for a bachelor’s degree, according to the choices listed in the application form and in order of preference, as follows:
– The medical group: General Medicine, with a GPA of 75, and Dentistry and Pharmacy, with a GPA of 70.
The engineering and nursing specializations, with a GPA of 60%.
– Other scientific and humanities specializations, without a GPA requirement. The applicant must not be older than 33 years of age.
Second, for postgraduate studies (higher diploma, master’s, doctorate):
– The student must meet the minimum admission requirements, i.e., for a master’s degree or higher diploma (60) and for a doctorate (70).
– Applicants are exempt from the age requirement.
T/ Self-funded admission requirements and conditions:
First: For undergraduate studies (diploma, bachelor’s):
1. The student must meet the minimum admission requirements for the university and college they wish to study at to obtain a bachelor’s degree, according to the choices listed in the application form and in order of preference, as follows:
– Medical group (general medicine with a grade of 75%).
– Dentistry and pharmacy with a grade of 70%.
Engineering group, nursing, and other scientific and humanities specializations do not require a grade.
2. The applicant is exempt from the age requirement.
3. The choice of university or college is based on the applicant’s preference.
Second: For graduate studies (higher diploma, master’s, doctorate)
– The applicant is exempt from the grade and age requirements.
– The choice of university or college is based on the student’s preference, and admission is based on the availability of the specialization in the free and semi-free scholarship plan of the relevant university.
