Misan First International Engineering Conference 2025 (MFIEC-2025) will be held on 25–26 November 2025 in Al-Amarah, Misan, Iraq. The conference is organized by College of Engineering at the University of Misan (UOM). It aims to provide a scientific platform for presenting and discussing the latest research and studies in engineering, technology, and all related fields, including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, and petroleum engineering. This scientific event represents an excellent opportunity for both academic and industry participants to exchange ideas and discuss recent developments in these areas. The conference will offer a valuable chance for face-to-face interaction, fostering the exchange of experiences, the establishment of research or business relationships, and the identification of global partners for future collaboration. Additionally, one of the key objectives of the conference is to build a scientific communication bridge among researchers across Iraq from various cities and universities.

College of Engineering at the University of Misan is considered one of the modern colleges established in Maysan Province in 2012. It was founded with the aim of preparing specialized engineering staff to meet the demands of economic and technological advancement that our beloved Iraq aspires to achieve. The college has a clear strategy to achieve distinction and leadership in Iraq and the region in the fields of engineering education and scientific research. It strives to ensure that its graduates keep pace with global technological developments. Currently, the college includes five engineering departments: Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. In addition, new departments such as Biomedical Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, and Architectural Engineering are included in the college’s future development plan. These disciplines represent a real need for the country in general, and for Maysan Governorate in particular, to supply the labor market with highly qualified engineering staff. This is supported by the nature of the curricula and the well-equipped laboratories adopted by the college, which are comparable to those in the most advanced engineering universities worldwide. College of Engineering will remain a vital source of engineering professionals for our dear country. The duration of undergraduate study is four years, after which the graduate is awarded a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Furthermore, the College offers postgraduate programs in Structural Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and is planning to obtain approval for additional programs in Mechanical Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering.
