This study is devoted to analyzing the literary and cultural content in the textbook &#8220;The English for Iraq&#8221; for the sixth secondary stage in Iraq to achieve the purpose of the study. The researcher relied on analyzing the textbook, where she chose a sample consisting of three books (Students&#8217; book, activity book and teachers&#8217; book) for the sixth grade of secondary school. The researcher analyzed the cultural aspects in these books in terms of (names, employment, countries and cities, the presence of males and females, morals, animals, aspects of local and foreign life, institutions) and so on.<\/h4>\n<h4>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 These cultural aspects were classified into two main categories: local and international aspects. The researcher also analyzed the literary aspects of these books in terms of short stories.
