Food industries in the city of Amara

Abstract

The importance of the food industry and its products and ways of providing them are the basics that all peoples and countries aspire to ensure their survival and achieve a part of self-sufficiency in order to prevent the need to import from outside the country and meet the local consumption of the population as much as possible, so this study came as part of highlighting that basic industry For the purpose of living. The food industry in the city of architecture is diverse in its varieties and content, some of which are classified within the small and medium industries and large ones according to the criteria of the geography of industry in Iraq, and the field study and information obtained from the Department of Statistics Maysan and the presence of (174) established within the food industry employs (1005) workers Includes (Jerash industry and milling grain and bread industry, and the manufacture of pickles, dairy, refreshments, ice, pastries, sugar confectionery and slaughterhouses, etc.) distributed over the neighborhoods of the city of Amara according to the administrative divisions approved by the Municipality of Maysan Governorate, where the number of There are 34 districts out of the total (65) districts of Amara city. The distribution was studied according to their numbers, The study dealt with the concept of food industries and their classification Food industry structure, and finally the geographical distribution of food industries in the city of Amara.
