Module Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
1. Understand the concept of integration and its importance in engineering applications.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in performing basic integration operations.
3. Apply integration techniques, including substitution, integration by parts, partial fractions, and trigonometric substitutions, to solve a variety of engineering problems.
4. Analyze and interpret the geometric and physical significance of definite integrals in the context of electrical engineering, such as computing areas and volumes.
5. Utilize numerical integration techniques, such as the trapezoidal rule and
Simpson’s rule, to approximate definite integrals in practical scenarios.
6. Perform arithmetic operations with complex numbers and find complex conjugates.
7. Convert equations between rectangular and polar forms.
