{"id":11216,"date":"2024-10-17T11:16:03","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T08:16:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomisan.edu.iq\/eng\/ar\/?p=11216"},"modified":"2024-11-06T12:57:12","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T09:57:12","slug":"the-faculty-of-engineering-conducts-a-training-course-on-the-positive-and-negative-duties-of-public-employees-under-the-amended-state-employees-and-public-sector-act-no-14-of-1991","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomisan.edu.iq\/eng\/ar\/en\/blog\/archives\/11216","title":{"rendered":"The Faculty of Engineering conducts a training course on &#8220;The Positive and Negative Duties of Public Employees under the Amended State Employees and Public Sector Act No. 14 of 1991&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Under the patronage of the Rector of the University of Maysan, Professor <strong>Dr. Adel Man&#8217;e Dakhel<\/strong>, and the supervision of the Head of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor <strong>Dr. Abbas Oda Dawood<\/strong>, the Petroleum Engineering Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit of the Faculty of Engineering, conducted an in-person training course titled <em>&#8220;The Positive and Negative Duties of Public Servants Under the Amended State Employees and Public Sector Act No. 14 of 1991&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The three-day course was led by Assistant Lecturer <strong>Mr.<\/strong> <strong>Mou&#8217;ayed Kareem Hassan<\/strong> and Assistant Lecturer <strong>Mr.<\/strong>  <strong>Ayad Mohsen Sap&#8217;han<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The course provided an overview of public employees&#8217; duties, which are divided into two categories according to the law: duties that require the performance of specific tasks, and duties that require the avoidance of certain actions. Key topics included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performing one&#8217;s work with honesty and a sense of responsibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complying with working hours and avoiding unauthorized absences, dedicating all official work time to professional duties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Showing respect to superiors, maintaining proper etiquette in communication, and following lawful instructions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The course also covered prohibited activities, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Holding multiple jobs simultaneously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engaging in personal business activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participating in tenders and bids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Misusing work time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In conclusion, it was emphasized that the duties covered in the course are not exhaustive, as employers may impose additional responsibilities on employees, subject to judicial
