Under the auspices of the President of the University of Maysan, Dr. Adel Man’e Dakhil<\/strong>, and the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Abbas Oda Dawood<\/strong>, the Faculty of Engineering, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, hosted a workshop titled “Chemical Security and Environmental Sustainability”<\/em>. The event took place on Monday, 20 January 2025, with Assistant lecturer Sabreen Kais Majid<\/strong> in attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop covered a range of key topics, focusing on pressing issues related to chemical security and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workshop Themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Security:<\/strong> Analyzing the risks associated with chemical, biological, and radiological substances, the session discussed strategies to mitigate their impacts effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Pollution and Its Environmental Impact:<\/strong> Participants studied the effects of pollutants on human health and the environment, examining the connection between pollution and climate change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Environmental Sustainability:<\/strong> The workshop emphasized the importance of conserving natural resources and highlighted the role of green technologies in achieving sustainability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
