{"id":14489,"date":"2025-03-18T09:08:49","date_gmt":"2025-03-18T06:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomisan.edu.iq\/eng\/ar\/?p=14489"},"modified":"2025-03-18T09:08:51","modified_gmt":"2025-03-18T06:08:51","slug":"specialized-training-course-on-quantitative-analysis-and-industrial-applications-of-acidic-solutions-for-chemical-engineering-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomisan.edu.iq\/eng\/ar\/en\/blog\/archives\/14489","title":{"rendered":"Specialized Training Course on Quantitative Analysis and Industrial Applications of Acidic Solutions for Chemical Engineering Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Master&#8217;s thesis presented by researcher <strong>Haider Latif Naji <\/strong>from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Maysan, titled <em>&#8220;The Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Columns Supported by Ultra-High Performance Concrete Under the Influence of Non-Axial Loads.&#8221;<\/em> was discussed at the Graduate Hall, Faculty of Engineering, on Thursday, March 13, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Discussion Committee consisted of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Professor <strong>Dr. Mohamed Saleh Abdul Ali<\/strong>, Southern Technical College\/Technical Institute of Architecture \u2013 President<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistant Lecturer <strong>Dr. Mortaza Abbas Abd Ali<\/strong>, Faculty of Engineering, University of Maysan \u2013 Member<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistant Lecturer <strong>Dr. Samer Mohamed Jaseb<\/strong>, Faculty of Engineering, University of Maysan \u2013 Member<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor <strong>Dr. Abdulkhalek Abdullimah Jafar<\/strong>, Faculty of Engineering, University of Maysan \u2013 Member and Supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The study aimed to address common defects in reinforced concrete columns during construction, particularly the problem of honeycombing, which occurs when concrete is not sufficiently compacted during casting. The research focused on testing several variables to mitigate this issue, including the use of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) panels, as well as examining the effect of decentralization in axial loads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The researcher conducted a practical program, testing 30 concrete columns. The results indicated that ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) was more effective in addressing honeycombing than other strengthening techniques. Furthermore, the use of UHPC contributed to enhancing the durability and structural performance of reinforced columns, outperforming those strengthened with CFRP carbon fiber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
