The thesis was titled:<br><em>Heat Transfer Enhancement of Different Photovoltaic Thermal (PV\/T) Configuration Systems Using Mono and Hybrid Nanofluid<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The thesis was presented by doctoral student <strong>Hussein Madi Hamad<\/strong>, a lecturer in the Department of Petroleum Engineering \u2013 College of Engineering \u2013 University of Maysan. The study addressed methods for cooling solar cells with the aim of raising the efficiency of photovoltaic panels and extending their operational life, as higher operating levels lead to a reduction in the electrical power produced and a decrease in the overall reliability of the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Six different cooling channel configurations were evaluated using ANSYS Fluent software, including a simple channel (reference case), a channel with baffles, and channels with fins at four different inclination angles (30\u00b0, 45\u00b0, 60\u00b0, and 90\u00b0).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The simulation included detailed modeling of heat transfer and fluid flow under specific climatic conditions, with flow rates ranging between 9\u201345 liters per hour. Several influential thermal and hydrodynamic parameters were analyzed, including solar radiation, heat transfer coefficient, pressure, friction coefficient, nanoparticle concentration, and fin geometry. The results showed\u2014based on the thermal performance factor\u2014that the inclination angle of 30\u00b0 represents the optimal design, achieving an efficiency value of \u03b7 = 1.59 at a flow rate of 45 l\/h compared to 0.2 in the case of a simple channel, thus achieving an effective balance between enhanced heat transfer and acceptable pressure loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The discussion committee consisted of:<br>\u2013Professor<strong> Ahmed Abdel Mohamed<\/strong>, Chairman<br>\u2013 Professor<strong> Ahmed Kazem Mohamed<\/strong>, Member<br>\u2013 Professor <strong>Wissam Abdultaie<\/strong>, Member<br>\u2013Professor<strong> Diaa Ghanem Mutashar<\/strong>, Member<br>\u2013Professor<strong> Ali Lafta Kaid<\/strong>, Member<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Under the supervision of:<br>\u2013 Professor <strong>Star Jaber Habib<\/strong><br>\u2013 Assistant Professor <strong>Ahmed Abdel Nabi Omran<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering \u2013 University of Maysan extends its warmest congratulations to the doctoral researcher <strong>Hussein Madi Hamad<\/strong> on the occasion of the discussion of his scientific thesis, wishing him continued success in his academic and research career and further scientific contributions that support the Faculty and the university and enhance their presence in the fields of research and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Faculty of Engineering \u2013 University of Maysan values the participation of its faculty members in qualitative scientific discussions as a fundamental pillar in supporting the scientific research system and activating the university\u2019s role in knowledge production and application. Such academic participation contributes to the exchange of scientific and methodological expertise, the promotion of a culture of sound academic evaluation, and the enhancement of the quality of theses and dissertations, in addition to establishing channels of cooperation and communication with Iraqi universities.
