Constitutional Empowerment of Women in Iraq ( Comparative Study )

Abstract

This research aims to explain the constitutional legal organization of equality in women's rights granted to them and the extent of the Iraqi government's restriction to international conventions that have equalized between women and men away from discrimination experienced by developing countries, it has been shown through this study that the constitutions of the Republic of Iraq varied in the recognition of rights and freedoms for women between allowing and restricting, but in the end they responded to international requirements to allow women to obtain their rights, taking into account the restriction of Sharia and religion in the recognition of those rights, it turns out to be ours The relentless pursuit by the Iraqi state to allow women to participate in political life and obtain their rights with men
