By<br \/>\nstudent Nour Sabah Kazim. The study aimed to Preparation of superparamagnetic nano-<br \/>\niron oxide by co-precipitation method, then prepare nanocomposites from them with<br \/>\ndifferent mixing ratios (1:1), (2:1), ((1:2) with polyurethane PU1 and with polyurethane<br \/>\nPU2 and using them as effective adsorbent surfaces to remove heavy metal ions. The best<br \/>\nmixing ratio was chosen after conducting the current study. The study also aimed to<br \/>\ncharacterize polymeric adsorbents using several techniques: Fourier Transform Infrared<br \/>\nspectroscopy FTIR, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), X-rays diffraction (XRD),<br \/>\nField-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) with dispersive X-ray detector.<br \/>\nEDX and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Zeta potential. The study showed<br \/>\nthat the adsorption process of ions, Cr (III), Pb (II) Ni (II), Co (II), and Cd (II) on the two<br \/>\nsurfaces (Fe3O4-PU1 ), (Fe3O4-PU2) reach equilibrium at time intervals estimated at<br \/>\n(60,120,45,30,60 min).<\/p>\n<p>In the case of temperature, the measured heat of metal ions Pb (II), Cr (III), Cd (II), Co<br \/>\n(II), (Ni (II) in this study is at temperatures (300, 303, 310, 318,325 K). , 333) and the<br \/>\nadsorption process is appropriate at low temperatures and high concentrations. The<br \/>\nresults also showed that Langmuir model is applicable to Cd(II), and Co(II) elements,<br \/>\nwhere this model is highly applicable to the first mixture (Fe3O4-PU1). Pb(II), Cr(III),<\/p>\n<p>and Ni(II) are highly applicable to the Freundlich model for this mixture. The elements<br \/>\nCo (II), Cr (III), and Ni (II) are highly applicable to the Langmuir model, and this means<br \/>\nthat they are chemically adsorbent, as indicated in the results. &#8211; PU1: &amp;gt;Pb (II) Ni (II) Cd<br \/>\n(II) &amp;gt; Cr (III) &amp;gt; Co (II) &amp;gt; qmax adsorption quantity of the second mixture (Fe3O4- PU2):<br \/>\nCd (II) &amp;gt; Cr (III) &amp;gt; Ni(II)Pb(II) &amp;gt; Co(II) &amp;gt;.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion committee consisted of:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Prof. Dr. Tariq Zubari Jassim, University of Basra, President.<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Dr. Widad Saleh Hanoush, University of Basra, Member.<\/li>\n<li>Ass.Prof. Dr. Ali Taha Saleh, University of Misan, member.<\/li>\n<li>Ass.
