The college of Agriculture at the University of Misan organized a seminar on antioxidants and free radicals with the participation of two specialized teachers. The workshop included a lecture by Dr. Zeinab Sabeeh Hassan in which she gave a detailed presentation on the free radicals and the causes of their formation in the body and how they affect the cells. She also discussed the role of antioxidants and how to prevent the effect of harmful free radicals on the cells of the body. The workshop discussed the presence of antioxidants in food and how to obtain them. The lecturers discussed the new ways of organizing food and changing the nutrition method to ensure a healthy diet and the abundance of antioxidants. The discussions also discussed the effect of smoking on the body cells as a major cause of free radicals.
