The President of Misan University Professor Dr. Abdel Baset Mohsen Ayal received the French Ambassador, Mr. Eric Chevalier, during his visit today with a delegation from the French Embassy to the University of Misan, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Adel Mani’ Al-Kaabi, and the Assistant President of the University for Legal and Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Jabbar Atwiyeh and the distinguished deans of colleges and the director of cultural relations, where the university president welcomed the visiting delegation and appreciated their role in supporting higher education paths and discussing areas of joint cooperation with the University of Maysan in the field of exchanging experiences and knowledge and developing projects that serve the university and society and enhance scientific research.

The President of Misan University confirmed that this visit came to bring closer views regarding activating scientific programs and expressing scientific cooperation within the framework of enhancing joint exchange between Iraqi and international universities and working to achieve and implement strategic plans and programs, especially since the two parties have a prominent position that qualifies for joint work and service of education projects and research fields.

The French Ambassador, Mr. Eric Chevalier, indicated that the University of Misan, with its accumulated experience and academic reputation in the fields of scientific research and practical training, is looking forward today to extending bridges of cooperation in all fields through these understanding visits, and opening broad areas for training students and employees and promoting scientific research in studies. The specialized and higher academy is in accordance with the highest and most accurate standards of global scientific research. For his part, Mr. Eric Chevalier stressed the necessity of networking with international universities, fostering relationships, and strengthening scientific research paths and twinning programs to achieve satisfactory results and qualify for entry into international classifications, one of the determinants of which is establishing mutual partnerships with universities. Local, regional and international.

For his part, the President of Misan University stressed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research highly appreciates the role that academic institutions play in serving the community and the educational environment, and we are pleased to see the University of Misan, a young university, among those institutions that play this national, global and international role, praising the efforts made by the university in Scientific communication and its positive contribution to the advancement of education by providing high-quality scientific programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, developing the research capabilities of students, in addition to effective partnership locally and internationally to enhance the production and dissemination of knowledge.

While the French Ambassador indicated that there was prior coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the admission of Iraqi students to study in French universities within scholarships, scholarships and fellowships in various journals of engineering, law, archeology, science and medicine, and at the conclusion of the visit, the President of the University of Misan expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the French Ambassador and the delegation. Accompanying him, I hope that the proposals of this visit will be activated within scientific programs and protocols that are compatible with global developments, and that the University of Misan will have priority in accepting students within French universities.
