Abstract

Compensation is the inevitable consequence of the establishment of liability. However, the damage resulting from the use of dangerous objects is difficult to cover under traditional compensation methods. Therefore, legislations have resorted to other supplementary means of compensation, the most important of which are mandatory liability insurance and guarantee funds. These play a complementary and reserve role, only being relied upon when full or partial compensation cannot be obtained. Thus, these supplementary means of compensation are of great importance in ensuring that the consumer receives full compensation
