Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip according to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court

Abstract

The research seeks to clarify the statute of the violations committed by Israel in Operation Iron Swords in the Gaza Strip, in light of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The problem stems from a main question about the statute of these violations according to the court’s system, and to explain their elements, as they are considered war crimes. The research aims to contribute to ongoing research efforts regarding the role of the Rome Treaty establishing the International Criminal Court in important and complex cases, and how this system can serve one of the most important issues of contemporary international law, which is the Palestinian issue
