The President of the University of Maysan, Professor Dr. Adel Mani, visited the Governor of Maysan, Professor Habib Zahir Al-Fartusi, in the library of the governorate’s office, accompanied by the Director of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations, Dr. Mustafa Nasser Manati. During the visit, a number of issues pertaining to the scientific reality in the governorate were discussed.

The President of the University of Maysan said: This visit came in the context of supporting the scientific and academic reality in the governorate and the University of Maysan in particular, as it is the mother university in addition to the fact that it is a young university, which makes it in need of many special needs and supplies that contribute to the development of its scientific career and its public facilities in the context of a situation… Future plans that guarantee the advancement of the university’s performance. During the visit, he also discussed a number of topics related to the scientific reality in Maysan, the most important of which is the necessity of completing the construction of the university city with an area of 1600 dunums after the university obtained all legal approvals and the approval of the Ministry of Planning to refer the designs of the university city to the advertising method. Direct funding, in addition to allocating funds within the governorate’s allocations to establish infrastructure at the University of Maysan, as well as providing logistical support to the laboratories of the medical and scientific colleges.

For his part, the President of the University of Maysan indicated that the university is fully prepared to actively participate in society by harnessing scientific and academic expertise in the service of the governorate in a way that contributes to the advancement of all sectors and fields, providing engineering and architectural consultations, and drawing up long-term future policies at the level of strategic planning and management of state institutions. Pointing out the university’s tireless endeavor to create a positive and balanced work climate that contributes to achieving achievements in accordance with the studied visions, pointing to the importance of cooperation and integration between the two sides in a way that ensures the provision of the best services to the people of our dear governorate.

For his part, the Governor of Maysan praised the cooperation and continuous communication of the university administration with the governorate, stating, “The administration of Maysan Governorate is determined to develop the educational and academic reality by supporting the paths of the scientific and university environment and providing its special needs and supplies in a way that contributes to its effectiveness in serving our students and allocating funds within the governorate’s allocations.” To support the infrastructure and scientific laboratories at the University of Maysan.
