College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Misan University held a symposium entitled “Sexual Harassment in the field of Sport” attended by a number of officials and specialists in the ministry of youth and sports , representatives of the Olympic committee in Misan province, and the physical training officials in Misan Police Directorate. in addition to faculty members and the college students .
The Symposium included three research papers: The first research paper entitled as (Sexual harassment and the reasons for its spread in the sports field) presented by Prof. Dr. Akla Salman Ali Al-Houri, Mosul University. The second one was under the title of (the impact of the growing phenomenon of sexual harassment on sport and its future) Presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Zein Hassan Fleih, Mustansiriya University. Moreover, the third research paper entitled as (proposed treatments to reduce the phenomenon of sexual harassment in the field of sports) presented by Dr. Rahim Helou Ali, Misan University. The main purpose behind holding the symposium was to shed light on the phenomenon of sexual harassment and potential strategies to reduce it
