he Chancellor of University of Misan, Prof. Dr. (Abdul Basit Mohsen Ayal) makes a scientific twinning program in the field of medicine and medical sciences with the Indian ambassador in the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Shri Birender Singh Yadav.
During the visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of India and his accompanying delegation to the University of Misan, Professor Dr. Abdul Basit Mohsen Ayal presented a number of visions and ideas in the field of scientific exchange and the exchange of experiences between the two parties, which is a future step to open the horizons of joint cooperation in the field of medical sciences, publication of sober research and scholarships for students. In addition to providing training opportunities for University of Misan students abroad, imroving their medical skills, and increasing opportunities for cooperation and bilateral exchange between Indian universities and University of Misan.
The meeting included advanced staff in the field of medicine and medical sciences at University of Misan, during which important visions, ideas, perceptions and resources were presented that contribute to activating the educational program in the field of medicine and scientific research and attracting expertise remotely. Moreover, they contribute to the expansion of scientific exchange in the field of medicine with the Indian side, especially with regard to research and study fellowships for the community of Misan Province.
On his turn, Dr. Adel Mane Dakhil , Vice Chancellor of University of Misan for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Studies indicated the necessity of exchanging teaching experiences remotely through holding virtual academic workshops in which lecturers and specialists from the Republic of India in the field of health, medicine and education take part, in addition to informing students as well as engaging them in scientific medical discussions that would contribute to the development of the scientific capabilities of both sides.
Prof. Dr. Yassin Obaid, Dean of the College of Medicine at University of Misan put forward a number of scientific visions, including increasing training opportunities in the education sectors and disseminating research in international Scopus indexed journals between the two countries.
On his part, the Indian ambassador confirmed that there is a virtual medical science program (Soyham) dedicated to African students, but students from Misan Province can apply and participate in it remotely after obtaining official approvals from Indian universities. Consequently, they would be granted recognized certificates for distance studies.
