The Minister of Education announces the launch of the second edition of The Higher Education Reading Award

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Na’eem Al-Aboudi, announced the launch of the second edition of the Higher Education Reading Competition, with a total prize of 100 million IQD, distributed among 40 winners.

Registration for the competition can be completed on the platform (https://awards.mohesr.gov.iq) and will remain open until September 21, 2024. Registered students will take an online test on September 24, 2024. The competition will focus on two books: “Islamic Views in the Declaration of Human Rights by Sayed Mohammed” Al-Shahid Al-Sadr, and “The Cultural Matter: How to Innovate Our Future in a Changing World” by Zaki Milad.

The prize distribution will be as follows:

  • The top ten winners will receive 4 million IQD.
  • The second group of ten winners will receive 3 million IQD.
  • The third group of the ten winners will receive 2 million IQD.
  • The final group of the ten winners will receive 1 million IQD.

To participate, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold Iraqi nationality
  • Be enrolled in undergraduate studies
  • Be 30 years of age or younger
  • Register on the platform using the official email provided by their college.

Dr. Na’eem Al-Aboudi encourages university students to take part in this prestigious competition. In the first edition, thousands of participants competed, demonstrating their commitment to meaningful reading, civilization, and positive culture.
