The Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Buraq Talib Shalash, participated in the meeting of the Community Police Consultative Forum of the Relations and Media Department of the Ministry of Interior, the Minister’s Office, which is affiliated with the Community Police in Maysan Governorate.
The meeting was held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in the temple of the Sabian-Mandaean sect (Mandi) in Maysan Governorate. In the presence of Mr. Colonel Rashad Al-Battat, Director of Community Police in Maysan, the Chairman of the Forum, Mr. Amer Aziz Al-Jabri, members of the Forum, representatives of the governorate’s departments, the representative of the Sabian-Mandaean community, the Christian community, and civil society organizations.
The meeting included a speech by the Director of Community Police in Maysan Governorate, Colonel Rashad Al-Battat, during which the development of the forum’s mechanism and work plan was discussed.
Mr. Colonel explained that the work of the forum is voluntary and aims for the cooperation and participation of members with the community police in solving problems and suffering in the governorate, especially the problem of drug abuse.
