A lecturer at the University of Maysan participates in the international conference in Libya entitled (Tourism between reality and what is imagined)

The lecturer at the University of Maysan, College of Education, Department of History, Professor Dr. Qasim Abd Saadoun Al-Husseini, participated in the international (in-person) conference held at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in the State of Libya. Participation in a research entitled (The touristic importance of the ancient city of Ur, reading obstacles and solutions), in which the researcher explained the importance of the ancient city of Ur and its role in sustainable tourism development. The study was organized into an introduction, two sections, and a conclusion, in which the researcher explained in the first section the importance of the ancient city of Ur and its role in Archaeological and religious tourism, as this city has great importance stemming from the fact that it represents the place where the Prophet of God, Abraham, peace be upon him, was born, there he grew up and grew up, so it gained religious importance and became a destination for the whole world, and we will not forget the visit of the Pope of the Vatican to this important city.
The second section is devoted to the obstacles that prevent the development of tourism in this city, and developing solutions that help achieve sustainable tourism development in this city. As for the conclusion It organized the most prominent findings of the study.
