Under the patronage of the President of the University of Maysan, Professor Dr. Adel Mani Dakhil Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Buraq Talib Shalash Under the slogan (With knowledge, nations advance and with art, they advance) Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Jabbar Itwayih, representative of the University President, opened the activities of the seventeenth anniversary of the founding of the University of Maysan in the College of Education, in the presence of a member of the Iraqi Parliament, Mr. Murtada Ali Hammoud Al-Saadi, and in the presence of a member of the Provincial Council, Ms. Kawthar Al-Fahham, and a member of the Provincial Council, Ms. Fatima Al-Iqabi. In the presence of the Director of the Community Police Division, Colonel Rashad and Colonel Jassim ,Dr. Ali, Director of Youth and Sports in Maysan, and a number of college professors, students, and the media. The ceremony witnessed an organized curriculum of various activities, the most important of which were:

9- A large bazaar and photo gallery And multiple products As celebrations began in the College of Education in rejoicing over this fragrant anniversary, The Dean of the College of Education explained: The University of Maysan has always striven to stimulate scientific life, touch upon students’ abilities, and empower them socially, culturally, artistically, engineering, economically, and medically and Through various activities and various events, including holding conferences, seminars, technological incubators, industrial models, engineering equipment, and medical laboratories in a way that contributes to community service, and providing state institutions with university outputs and benefiting from their creative abilities and skills, as well as theoretical and applied graduation projects, in a way that ensures the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning and its outputs. The ceremony also included cultural and scientific events and activities, and the presentation of students’ products related to applied and laboratory projects, where the Assistant President of the University for Legal and Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Jabbar Itwayih, expressed the extent of creativity in design and brilliance in the selection of scientific ideas and patents developed for research projects in the field of art, photography , art,culture and theatre. The ceremony also witnessed various performances from private sector organizations that had a great impact in creating a spirit of cooperation between all sectors of society by displaying and marketing their products within the activities held within the university’s corridors.
As the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salim Kazem Abbas explained:
This festival sheds light on the nature of the relationship between the university, society and its institutions, and the more this relationship is characterized by cooperation and integration, the more this contributes to establishing the principle of societal stability and its implications for reform, development and innovation. And innovation in various fields, for individuals and the state alike, to ensure that they live in a developed society capable of solving its problems with the contributions of its children and their future projects.This was followed by a speech by the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Buraq Talib Shalash, in which he explained that it is our duty to provide means that highlight leadership and innovation projects for their contribution to addressing the problems of society and its institutions. From this scientific forum, we call for the employment and application of innovations and scientific research accomplished by teachers and researchers, as well as Graduation projects for students are in accordance with the requirements of integration with state institutions. At the same time, we praise the scientific efforts provided by the professors and students of the University of Maysan, which indicate that they possess the capabilities that contribute to the advancement of the university and the rise of its positions in international rankings.
