University of Misan/ College of Education organizes a symposium on the theory of hero in the character of Genghis Khan The Department of History at the College of Education / University of Misan held a symposium on the theory of hero in the character of Genghis Khan by Dr. Ghufran Mohammed Aziz on Wednesday, 17/4/2019 at the Martyr Ali Mohammed Khazaal Hall. The symposium tackled personal leadership in the movement of history and change of its course. It is varied in the size of this change depending on its strength and the circumstances surrounding it. However, when we talk about the character of Genghis Khan, the matter is different. He united the tribes of the Mongols, ruled the disputed tribes and established the state and the empire wide-ranging as well as he built its administrative and legislative system. The symposium dealt with several sections. The first is to define the meaning of heroism in language and terminology and in the vision of Muslims as well as Orientalists to determine the true criterion. The second section dealt with causes of the formation of the heroic character through its origins and its impact and then his start and leadership of the Mongols towards the expansion, domination and establishment of the Mongol Empire. The third section illustrated the right of the ideas he holds and leads, which became a method for his people after him. The symposium concluded with the following brief points: 1- Definition of the concept of the hero and its relative meaning, which highlights the criterion of being the owner of achievement and at any level is limited; to the political side. 2- The strength of Genghis Khan’s personality in his upbringing and enduring hardships and difficult circumstances as well as the unification of the tribes under his banner and his choice of being the legitimate heir. 3 – A clear and rapid military achievement because of military plans as well as attention with armament, the type and quality of weapons, the method of confrontation, and the choice of place. 4 – Genghis Khan appeared lawful by writing his first book about law of the Mongols in their history. He did not satisfy with only customs and traditions, but he added and deleted many of them. 5 – This great leader had a tolerant religious vision, despite being pagan shamanic, but he took the views of all religious men from all religions and sects. 6. He worked to build a successful and strong administrative system through which he was able to secure and strengthen the empire internally as well as the economic aspect, especially trade through securing roads and facilitating their entry
