The Department of Computer Science at the College of Education at the University of Maysan organized the scientific workshop entitled: (Using the method of learning through play to achieve the goal of good education) with the participation and presence of the department’s professors and first-year students. The workshop, presented by Assistant Professor Dr Nadia Ali Qassim, Head of the Computer Systems Technology Department at Amara Technical Institute, explained the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals and how to use modern teaching techniques in teaching programming to students in schools. The workshop demonstrated the benefits of using logical thinking to solve programming problems by implementing a program in the Python language and using the Astro Pi device.
The workshop concluded with the students drawing multiple images with dimensions of 8 x 8 pixels, meaning the image size is 64 pixels, and then using the Astro Pi device to read and display these images.
