A lecturer in the College of Education participates in the international conference on the landmarks of a good life at the holy al-Abbas Shrine

Professor Dr. Hashim Dakheil Hussein, teaching in the Department of History, College of Education, University of Maysan, participated in the activities of the first edition of the International Conference on the Milestones of a Good Life among the People of the House (peace be upon them). The conference was held under the slogan (Let us give him a good life), and under the title: (Features of a good life among the People of the House, peace be upon them), and is organized by the Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Society, and the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Holy Abbasid Shrine, represented by the Islamic Center for Strategic Studies. The opening activities were attended by the legal guardian of the al-Abbas’s holy shrine, Mr. Ahmed Al-Safi, and a number of members of its board of directors, heads of departments, and officials, in addition to seminary and academic figures. The conference included the participation of researchers from several countries, including Iran and Lebanon, and the number of research papers that reached the scientific committee reached more than (40) research papers, of which (29) research papers were accepted and discussed within the conference activities. The conference, with its main topics, came to be a general basis for identifying the importance of returning to the Qur’an and its bearers, the People of the House (peace be upon them), and to draw inspiration from the foundations they laid in building a good and dignified life. The conference aims at the Abbasid Shrine to achieve multiple goals divided into four basic axes covering the subject of the features of the good life among the People of the House (peace be upon them), which are (the concept of the good life, its pillars and foundations, the impact of faith and belief in its formation, and the biography of the People of the House as a cultural model of the good life.

It is worth noting that Professor Dr. Hashim Dakhil Hussein participated in many international and local conferences, seminars and workshops. He is a member of the Union of Arab Historians and a member of the editorial board of the magazine Our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, which is issued by the General Secretariat of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, in addition to his participation in committees. Discussions of master’s theses and doctoral theses in various Iraqi universities. This contributes to extending bridges of cooperation and exchanging experiences between the University of Maysan on the one hand and universities and religious institutions on the other hand.
