A professor at the College of Education participates in the activities of the second international conference entitled (Extremism and Terrorism is a Threat to Community Peace) at the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine

At the kind invitation of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Hussein, to participate in the Second Conference to Reduce Extremism and Terrorism in its international version and under the slogan (Extremism and Terrorism is a Threat to Community Peace), Professor Dr. Hashim Dakheel Hussein participated in teaching in the History Department in the College of Education and in the Umm Abiha Hall at Al-Zahraa University, peace be upon her, in Karbala. In his speech, the Secretary-General of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine touched upon assuming national and societal responsibility to combat extremism and intellectual deviation that “threatens the future and generations.”
Emphasizing at the same time the necessity of first loyalty to the homeland and not to the tribe, party, sect or nationality for the sake of peaceful coexistence in the country. He explained, “From this standpoint, it is imperative for society and its individuals, along with the efforts of the state and its institutions, to keep in mind the national and societal responsibility to combat and confront this extremism and intellectual deviation that threatens their future and generations.” He added, “It is the responsibility of the academic brothers to conduct research and investigation to determine the sources and paths of this thought and confront it. In this context, we need school curricula to confront intellectual extremism.” It is worth noting that Professor Dr. Hashim Dakheel Hussein participated in many discussions of master’s theses, doctoral theses, and international and local conferences, and he is a member of the Union of Arab Historians and a member of the editorial board of the magazine Our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, which is issued by the General Secretariat of the Holy Abbasid Shrine. He has many books and scientific research that contribute to the scientific and educational process in service to our beloved Iraq.
