A scientific workshop was held in the English Language Department/College of Education/University of Maysan, tagged (in the theater space) In the presence of playwright Abbas Dakheel Habib And a group of professors and students on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 The workshop included a lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Nidhal Mahood Muhammad, in which she highlighted the importance of theater and its impact on civilized society. As well as a lecture by playwright Abbas Dakheel, in which he addressed theater as a mirror that reflects the reality of society through the theatrical performances it presents, the texts of which are based on the reality that the people of society live in, and many events and facts are quoted from it to be embodied in various theatrical performances.
The workshop aims to shed light on the reality of society, whether in terms of stability or suffering, and to present this suffering for discussion and analysis.
