A scientific research in the College of Medicine at the University of Missan  about the possibility of a successful vaginal delivery after one caesarean section in the Sadr Teaching Hospital – Missan  – Iraq.

A researcher in the College of Medicine at the University of Missan has been able to carry out and complete a scientific research on the possibility of a successful vaginal delivery after one caesarean section at AL- Sadr Teaching Hospital / Missan  / Iraq for the year 2016 – 2017.

The research, presented by Dr. Aqeela Haider Majeed, aims to reduce the current caesarean section in women who have undergone one previous caesarean section.

The research included cases of vaginal delivery in AL-Sadr Teaching Hospital in Missan  – Iraq, for the period from January 2016 to January 2017. Suitable cases was selected for the study, including cases ranging from 15 to 28 years old pregnant females and the highest rate of age that succeeded in the study 28 years with exclusion of unsuccessful case.

The results of the study found that 55% of the women who were studied succeeded to got a vaginal delivery, the study showed that the age of female and the duration between the first caesarean section and the second pregnancy plays a very important role in the success of the vaginal delivery of the second pregnancy.

The research was published in international journal of research in pharmaceutcal sciences that is part of the Scopus publisher.
