College of Medicine at the University of Missan holds a scientific symposium on tinnitus

The College of Medicine at the University of Missan held a scientific symposium on tinnitus, with the participation of a number of college members, staff and students.

The seminar, presented by Dr. Sadiq Musa Ahmad a member in the department of  surgery, dealt with the definition of tinnitus as an audible voice continue for five minutes without the presence of sonic or electrical stimulation, which is common in the society,  it  is of two types either heard by the patient himself or  by The examiner doctor, t women may affected more than men.

The symposium aims to explain the different causes of tinnitus from outside the auditory system and some disorders of the auditory system where there are different relationships to tinnitus, including the most famous antidepressants, dizziness and ear nerve stimulants

The symposium aimed to appoint the different causes of tinnitus either those of out of the audible system or those result from audible system disturbances. The lecturer revealed that some drugs play a role in the development of tinnitus including anti-depressants, anti-vertigo and the auditory nerve stimulants.  

The symposium recommended the need to avoid loud sounds and noise as much as possible and to reduce the use of telephone headsets as they affect the hearing and avoid the bad mood because of the emergence of tinnitus and healing.
