Under the patronage of the President of Maysan University, Professor Adel Mana Dakhil, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Abbas Odeh Daoud, the College of Engineering at Maysan University organized a specialized academic event entitled “Writing a Smart CV”, as part of the Leadership Week program (Global Entrepreneurship Week Iraq 2025), in cooperation with the Google Developer Groups team in Maysan (GDG Maysan).
The event aimed to empower college students to prepare professional curricula vitae compatible with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) by utilizing artificial intelligence–supported tools that keep pace with contemporary employment requirements. A number of CVs were prepared through an applied training approach, accompanied by practical guidance on organizing information and effectively highlighting skills and professional experiences through the “Your CV” platform, which enables users to create electronic CVs with the ability to print them directly or save them in PDF format. All students and graduates of the Faculty can benefit from this platform at any time by scanning the platform’s Quick Response (QR) code.
This activity forms part of the College of Engineering’s continuous efforts to develop students’ professional competencies and enhance their readiness to engage in the labor market through applied programs and initiatives that connect academic preparation with the evolving demands of the modern professional environment.
