Within the framework of ministerial directives on organizing joint examinations between public universities and private colleges, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Maysan recently hosted the second joint coordination meeting for the examination between the Department of Oil Engineering at the University of Maysan and its counterpart at Private Amara College.
The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Jabbar Raheem Rashid, Head of the Department of Oil Engineering at the University of Maysan, and Associate Professor Dr. Amer Ali Ghubra, Head of the Department of Oil Engineering at Amara College, along with several instructors responsible for lecturing on subjects included in the joint examination.
During the meeting, the materials scheduled for the examination were discussed. These included: For the second stage: Mathematics and Fluid Mechanics; for the third stage: Production Engineering and Reservoir Engineering; and for the fourth stage: Directional Drilling Engineering and Enhanced Oil Recovery.
The meeting also focused on agreeing upon the mechanisms for conducting the examination in line with the ministerial instructions. In addition, the exchange of lectures between the two departments was coordinated to ensure consistency in academic standards. The importance of continuous communication between the instructors of the relevant subjects was emphasized. To follow up on the examination process and address any potential challenges, a third meeting is scheduled for the second half of March.
