The Faculty of Engineering, University of Maysan, has achieved a distinguished accomplishment, with the Student Activities Division securing second place among the university’s faculties in the annual evaluation of student activities and events for the 2025–2026 academic year.
This achievement reflects the level of participation, engagement, and effectiveness demonstrated across the various programmes and activities organized by the faculty throughout the academic year. These included sporting, cultural, artistic, scouting, and voluntary activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and strengthening their participation in university life.
On this occasion, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, praised the outstanding efforts of the Student Activities Division. He also commended Lecturer Mustafa Saadoun Yaseen, Head of the Student Activities Division, and the team for their dedication and continued commitment to organizing activities and events and encouraging students to participate actively.
The Dean emphasized that this achievement is the result of collective efforts and cooperation among the Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering, the Student Activities Division, the academic departments, and the students. He noted that student activities are an important complement to the educational process, contributing to students’ personal development, fostering initiative and teamwork, and identifying young people’s talents and potential.
The Faculty of Engineering remains committed to supporting student activities and expanding student participation in university events and forums, with the aim of achieving further outstanding results and enhancing the standing of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Maysan.
