A training course in the Faculty of Engineering on summer training from study to practice

Under the patronage of the President of Maysan University, Professor Adel Man’e Dakhil, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Continuing Education Unit, organized a specialized training course entitled: “Summer Training for Chemical Engineering Students: From Study to Practice.”

The course was presented by assistant lecturer Professor Muzaffar Yaqoub Hussein, assistant lecturer Professor Abu Dharr Talib Halbous, and assistant lecturer Salam Abdel Zahra Khalifa.

The training addressed the concept of summer training for university students, highlighting its scientific and practical importance in supporting students’ CVs, identifying professional career paths, and strengthening the link between theoretical study and practical application. The lecturers reviewed the sections of the summer training form and the mechanisms for evaluating students by both the academic and field supervisors, as well as the requirements of preparing and submitting the summer training report.

In addition, the course discussed the training opportunities available to chemical engineering students in various sectors, including private sector institutions, in accordance with ministerial approvals. The program emphasized the role of summer training in enhancing students’ skills, refining their practical abilities, and qualifying them to integrate effectively into the labor market.
