The Faculty of Engineering participates in the (My School) initiative to support orphans and the chaste

Under the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority/Student Activities Department, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Abbas Oda Dawood, the Student Activities Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, participated in the national initiative “My School”, which aims to support orphaned and chaste students at the beginning of the new academic year 2025/2026.

This participation comes in implementation of the Ministry’s directives to launch the initiative under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The initiative focuses on providing essential educational supplies — including clothing and stationery — to orphaned and chaste students, in order to ensure they have an equitable opportunity to pursue their academic studies successfully.

The Dean of the Faculty emphasized that this initiative embodies the humanitarian and social mission of higher education in serving society and strengthening the values of compassion, solidarity, and educational support between students and academic institutions. He also affirmed that the Faculty of Engineering will work diligently to ensure the success of this initiative through the cooperation of scientific departments, administrative units, and volunteer students.
