Coinciding with the start of the new academic year, and as part of ongoing efforts to enhance traffic safety and protect the lives of students, university personnel, and citizens, and under the close follow-up of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering – University of Maysan, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, the Maysan Traffic Directorate, in cooperation with the Al-Amarah Municipality Directorate, has installed speed bumps at the turn located adjacent to the Scientific Complex site in the 110-Dunam area.
The work was carried out at the direction of the Governor of Maysan, Mr. Habib Zaher Al-Fartousi, and followed up by the Governor’s Technical Affairs Advisor, Engineer Hasanein Jabbar Jani, under the field supervision of the Director of Maysan Traffic Directorate, Brigadier Engineer Haider Mohammed Dagher.
This measure comes in response to the need to regulate vehicle movement and reduce the unfortunate traffic accidents that have recently occurred at the site, thereby contributing to providing a safer environment for students, university personnel, and all other road users.
