Under the patronage of the President of Maysan University, Professor Adel Manea Dakhil, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, the Faculty of Engineering organized a special celebration marking the nineteenth anniversary of the founding of Maysan University, under the slogan:
((University of Maysan… Nineteen Years Written in the Ink of Achievement and the Dreams of Generations))
The celebration was attended by the Dean of the College, the Dean’s Assistants, heads and rapporteurs of scientific departments, along with a number of academic and administrative figures, as well as students and invited guests.
The event featured a variety of scientific and artistic activities that reflected the spirit of creativity and excellence among students and staff. The most prominent activities included Practical Leadership Projects Exhibition, where students showcased their engineering outputs, including applied models, innovative designs, and research studies offering practical solutions to real-world engineering challenges.
The program also included a book fair and an exhibition of practical and entrepreneurial projects held in the building of the Department of Chemical Engineering. In addition, a photo exhibition documented the most significant milestones and achievements of the College, adding a rich cultural and educational dimension to the celebration.
The activities witnessed strong engagement and attendance, with participants praising the high level of student work, the quality of organization, and the diversity of the presented content. Attendees emphasized the importance of supporting such initiatives, which contribute to skill development, foster innovation, and strengthen academic belonging.
This celebration reaffirms the leading role of the Faculty of Engineering in advancing the scientific trajectory of Maysan University, and its continued commitment to achievement and community service.
