Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, and under the supervision of the Student Activities Division at the Faculty, the activities of the Five-a-Side Football Tournament – Faculty of Engineering 2026 concluded on Tuesday morning, 4/21/2026.
The final match, held on the faculty’s five-a-side football field, brought together the third-stage team of the Department of Electrical Engineering and the third-stage team of the Department of Chemical Engineering. The Chemical Engineering team secured victory with a score of (5–2) in an exciting match characterized by strong competition and outstanding performance from both teams.
The tournament was attended by the Dean of the College, the Dean’s Assistants, heads of the participating scientific departments, and a number of faculty members and staff, alongside distinguished participation from students representing the scientific departments. The event contributed to strengthening the spirit of cooperation and positive competition among students, while also supporting sports activities continuously promoted by the Faculty due to their role in enhancing students’ physical and social development.
At the conclusion of the tournament, appreciation was expressed for the high technical level demonstrated by the participating teams, while the efforts of the Student Activities Division in organizing and ensuring the success of this sporting event were highly commended.
