The Faculty of Engineering Holds the Twelfth Occupational Safety Workshop for Students of the Department of Electrical Engineering

Under the patronage of the President of Maysan University, Professor Adel Manea Dakhil, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Abbas Odeh Daoud, the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Petroleum Training Institute in Maysan, organized a specialized training workshop in the field of occupational safety for fourth-stage students / Division B in the Department of Electrical Engineering, on Tuesday, 4/21/2026, entitled: “Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) – Occupational Safety”

The workshop was presented by certified trainer Engineer Safaa Abdel Ali Mahdi, and was held in the building of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering, in the presence of a number of faculty members from the department, along with fourth-stage students / Division B.

The workshop addressed several important topics related to occupational safety, including the principles of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), types of hazards in engineering work environments, prevention methods, protection procedures, and the most prominent standards adopted in this field.

The workshop aimed to enhance awareness among Electrical Engineering students regarding the importance of implementing occupational safety procedures in professional environments, and to provide them with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to deal effectively with potential risks in alignment with labor market requirements.
