The Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering congratulates the Department of Civil Engineering on the issuance of the ministerial order approving the establishment of a Master’s program in Infrastructure Engineering, with its specialized tracks in the Department of Civil Engineering: Transportation and Highway Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, and Foundation Engineering and Soil–Structure Interaction.
This establishment represents an important academic step in the Faculty’s efforts to expand its postgraduate programs and strengthen its role in preparing specialized researchers and engineers capable of providing sound scientific solutions to infrastructure and urban development challenges in Maysan Governorate and Iraq as a whole.
Admission to the program is scheduled to begin as part of the admission plan for the 2027–2028 academic year, following the completion of the academic and administrative procedures related to the curricula and study plan.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering commended the efforts of the Presidency of the University of Maysan, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, the relevant authorities at the Faculty of Engineering, and the staff of the Department of Civil Engineering, particularly the former Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Mortada Abbas Abdel Ali, as well as everyone who contributed to fulfilling the requirements for establishing the program. The Deanship wished everyone continued success and achievement.
