The Student Activities Unit of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Maysan, in collaboration with the Student Activities Department of the University, recently organized an awareness campaign under the slogan “Preserving the Environment and Green Spaces for Sustainable Development.” The event took place on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Deanship building, with active participation from faculty members, students, and staff.
The campaign featured the distribution of awareness-raising vests, designed to encourage students, professors, and employees to take greater responsibility in preserving public spaces and both public and private property. The initiative also highlighted the importance of protecting the environment and maintaining green spaces.
Through such initiatives, the Faculty of Engineering aims to foster environmental consciousness and promote sustainable behaviors that not only preserve the environment but also contribute to improving the overall quality of life. The event underscores the importance of collective efforts in achieving sustainable development goals, and the Faculty wishes all participants continued success in their endeavors, with hope and determination for a greener future.
