A lecturer from the Engineering Faculty publishes a communal scientific research

Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Du’ayer Aneed, a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, in collaboration with researcher Shahid Muhammed Radi, a graduate student at the Faculty of Engineering, has published a scientific paper in the international journal Energies. This research represents a significant achievement, published in a journal ranked in the first quartile of Scopus indices under the auspices of MDPI. The paper is entitled: “Machine Learning Approaches for Short-Term Photovoltaic Power Forecasting.”

The research emphasizes the critical importance of accurate photovoltaic power forecasting, given the increasing adoption of photovoltaic systems as a renewable energy source. A short-term energy production forecasting model was developed using actual operational data collected from an experimental setup at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Misan. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of machine learning techniques in enhancing prediction accuracy across various weather conditions. For further details, please refer to the link below:
