Within the framework of cooperation between academic institutions and government agencies, Professor Raed Sa’ee Jassim, a faculty member at the College of Engineering, University of Maysan, participated in a meeting held by the Ministry of Planning to discuss executive procedures for the development and economic revitalization of the Al-Teeb region in Maysan Governorate and its neighboring areas.
This participation reflects the active role of the College of Engineering in providing technical and consulting expertise to support development initiatives within the governorate. During the meeting, development plans and documentation for the Tayeb Economic Zone were reviewed, including proposed projects in the industrial and economic sectors, as well as infrastructure related to border crossings. These efforts aim to transform the region into a hub for investment and population growth, while promoting stability and balanced spatial development.
The College of Engineering at the University of Maysan reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting the development of the governorate by leveraging its academic and research capabilities to serve the local community. The college remains dedicated to actively contributing to projects that advance sustainable development across Iraq.
