Dear colleagues, dear staff members… and most importantly, my dear students…
Welcome to a new beginning — the academic year 2025–2026. Every new year brings with it fresh opportunities, new challenges, and the promise of growth. This is our moment to move forward with energy, ambition, and determination.
At the Faculty of Engineering, we are proud to open our doors once again to a new generation of students while continuing to stand by those already on their academic journey. Our mission remains clear: to graduate engineers who are not only knowledgeable, but also ethical, responsible, and ready to serve their community, their governorate Maysan, and their country with dedication and creativity.
This year, our focus will be on:
- Strengthening the quality of our academic programs and meeting accreditation standards that reflect excellence.
- Developing modern laboratories, updating curricula, and linking research and graduation projects to the real needs of the labor market and society.
- Building stronger partnerships with universities, institutions, and government sectors.
- Creating a safe, supportive, and innovative learning environment.
- Empowering students through activities, guidance, and opportunities to grow beyond the classroom.
To my students: this is your time. Be disciplined, make the most of your hours, and carry yourselves with responsibility and respect. Knowledge is a gift, but it only becomes power when it is combined with hard work and strong character.
To my colleagues: thank you for your dedication and your teamwork. Together, we build success, and together, we set the standards of excellence.
Let us make this year one of knowledge, innovation, and achievement — not just for ourselves, but for the future of our beloved Iraq.
