Dean of the College of Engineering Welcomes Oil Experts from the Islamic Republic of Iran

The Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Abbas Oda Dawood, welcomed Professor Nour al-Din al-Husseini from Azad University of Oil and Gas in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Professor Abdul Rahman al-Aidawi from the Oil and Gas Company in Ahvaz, during their visit to his office on Sunday, April 6, 2025. The visit took place on the sidelines of their official engagements with the Ministry of Oil in Baghdad.

During the meeting, discussions focused on activating existing agreements between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Iranian side across various scientific fields. These included twinning agreements, the Visiting Professor Program, student training initiatives, and academic exchange visits for teaching staff. Both parties agreed to begin coordinating efforts to implement these programs as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by members of the College of Engineering Council, as well as Professor Ahmed Kazem Al-Sharaa, Director of the Maysan Journal of Engineering Sciences, published by the College of Engineering at the University of Maysan.
